Support
Email support@buildmancer.com and a human replies — usually within a day or two. Buildmancer is run by one person, so please include the details below and you'll get a useful answer first time.
Something charged and I don't recognise it
Charges from us appear as BUILDMANCER.COM. If that's unfamiliar, someone with access to your card may have bought build credits for Minecraft. Email support@buildmancer.com before contacting your bank — we'll find the purchase and refund it the same day if it wasn't wanted. That's faster for you than a dispute, and cheaper for us.
I bought credits but my key doesn't work
Work through these in order — the first two fix nearly everything:
- –Check the balance — paste it at /balance. If it reports credits, the key is fine and the problem is in your config.
- –Restart after editing the config — the key is read at startup; editing while the game or server runs changes nothing until it restarts.
- –Check you edited the right file — config/buildmancer.properties for the Fabric mod, plugins/Buildmancer/config.yml for the Paper plugin — and no quotes around the value.
- –On someone else's server? — keys live in the server's config, so a personal key does nothing there. The server owner buys for everyone.
I lost my key
Email support@buildmancer.com from the address you bought with, or send the Stripe receipt. We can re-issue it with the balance intact. We can't simply look it up and read it back — keys are stored only as hashes, which is also why a breach of our database wouldn't expose yours.
I want a refund
Unused key within 14 days: full refund, no questions. Partly used: we refund the unused portion. Beyond 14 days we'll still look at it. Full terms are on the terms & refunds page.
Builds aren't working at all
Check the service status below first — it sleeps when idle, so the first build after a quiet spell is slow rather than broken. Then confirm you have “Allow Commands” on (or operator / permission level 2). If it still fails, email us with what you typed and what came back.
What to include when you email
- –The last 4 characters of your key — never the whole key — we don't need it and you shouldn't send it.
- –Fabric mod or Paper plugin, and your Minecraft version
- –What you typed and what happened — the exact command, and the message you got back.
Before emailing, the FAQ, install guide and changelog answer most questions.
